Mercedes-Benz Launches All-Electric CLA In Malaysia Starting At RM274,888
The first-ever electric Mercedes-Benz CLA is now available for purchase in Malaysia with a significant 792km WLTP range.

Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the CLA, marking the first time the model series is available as an all-electric vehicle in Malaysia. Available for purchase starting today, the new EV is priced at RM274,888, with financing options via the company's Agility+ program starting from RM2,988 per month.
According to the original publisher, the vehicle was first previewed in January of this year. The CLA 250+ variant features an electric motor capable of producing 272HP and 335Nm of torque. Performance specifications include a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 210km/h.
The engineering behind the CLA 250+ focuses on balancing urban agility and highway efficiency. It utilizes the Mercedes-Benz Electric Drive Unit 2.0, which incorporates a two-speed transmission on the rear axle. The first gear uses a short 11:1 ratio to provide quick acceleration, while the second gear employs a 5:1 ratio designed for sustained power and energy efficiency during high-speed travel.
Charging capabilities are a primary feature for the new model, as it supports DC fast charging at rates of up to 320 kW. Under optimal conditions, the manufacturer states that this system can add 325km of range in a short charging session. The vehicle achieves an overall WLTP-rated range of up to 792km on a full charge.
This launch represents a significant expansion of the luxury EV market in Malaysia, providing consumers with a long-range option that balances performance with daily usability. By introducing the CLA badge to its electric lineup, Mercedes-Benz is catering to local drivers who demand high-tech features combined with the practical infrastructure support of rapid DC charging, a critical factor for the growing adoption of electric mobility across the nation.
