Ministry of Health to Revive Training Institutes to Tackle Nursing Shortage

The Ministry of Health has announced plans to reopen four of its nursing training institutes starting next year. This initiative is a strategic move to address the critical shortage of nursing staff currently affecting public healthcare facilities across the country.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad stated that the ministry is actively strengthening workforce reforms to mitigate a vacancy gap of 10,557 nursing positions.
