MRCB and TECO Partner to Build AI-Ready Modular Data Centers

Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) and Taiwan-based TECO Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd. (TECO) have entered into a strategic partnership to develop and deploy next-generation artificial intelligence-ready Modular Data Centers (MDC). The companies formalized this collaboration through a memorandum of understanding signed on Monday.

According to the original publisher, the scope of the partnership includes the development, deployment, and operational validation of these modular data center facilities. The project is focused on creating infrastructure that is specifically engineered to meet the growing computational requirements of modern artificial intelligence applications.

A core feature of the proposed data centers is their versatility regarding thermal management. The units are designed to support both air-cooled and liquid-cooled cabinet rack platforms. This dual-capability design is intended to accommodate a wide range of hardware configurations, allowing the centers to handle the high power densities often associated with high-performance computing tasks.

By integrating liquid cooling technology alongside traditional air-cooling methods, the initiative addresses the technical infrastructure needs of modern data centers. This partnership aims to establish a framework for the deployment of scalable and efficient data center solutions that can effectively support the intensive workloads required by contemporary AI platforms.
