Sabak Bernam Set for Growth with New Droneport-1000 Project

The Selangor Aviation Technology and Innovation (SELATI) has announced the proposed Droneport-1000 in Sabak Bernam, aiming to establish the region as a hub for the low-altitude economy. The project, developed in collaboration with Universiti Selangor, serves as a dedicated platform for drone testing, research, and talent development.

According to the original publisher, the initiative is designed to provide a comprehensive ecosystem for the commercialisation of unmanned aerial vehicle technology. By centralising these activities, the port intends to bridge the gap between academic research and practical, industry-ready drone applications.

The facility aims to unlock diverse operational capabilities across several key sectors. These include advancements in agricultural precision, logistics delivery systems, public service delivery, and environmental conservation efforts.
