Sheng Long Aqua Sets Up RM140 Million Manufacturing Plant in Perak

Sheng Long Aqua Technology (M) Sdn Bhd has announced a RM140 million investment to establish a new aquaculture feed manufacturing facility in Kamunting, Perak. This project represents the group’s first production base in Malaysia and focuses on the first phase of its regional infrastructure development.

According to the original publisher, the facility is scheduled to begin full-scale operations by 2028. The site is designed to house a total of four production lines, specifically split between two shrimp-feed lines and two fish-feed lines. These installations will determine the plant's overall annual manufacturing capacity.

This investment underscores a significant expansion for the group into the Malaysian market. By localizing its manufacturing capabilities, the company aims to establish a foothold in the domestic aquaculture supply chain, moving from import-based models to local production.
