Singapore Polytechnic Launches Industrial AI Framework to Standardise Governance

Singapore Polytechnic has been named the founding training partner for AutomationSG’s Trusted Industrial AI-Ready (TIA-Ready) Framework. This initiative marks the launch of the country’s first industry-owned readiness framework, designed to guide companies in the safe and responsible adoption of industrial artificial intelligence.
The TIA-Ready Framework offers a practical pathway for businesses to assess AI-related risks while implementing robust governance structures. By providing a standardised approach, the framework assists companies in building trusted capabilities specifically for applications in manufacturing, operational technology, and industrial automation.
The initiative was formally announced at the third annual Automation SolutionGO! x Regional Industry Networking Conference (RINC) 2026, which was co-organised by Singapore Polytechnic and AutomationSG at the SP Convention Centre. According to the original publisher, the framework allows businesses to benchmark their current operations against global governance standards.
To further support these objectives, nine strategic partnerships have been established. These collaborations aim to strengthen the regional ecosystem across the semiconductor, manufacturing, and automation sectors. The partnerships are expected to enhance the practical application of the framework for companies looking to integrate AI into their workflows.
For the regional landscape, this development highlights the growing necessity for structured governance as industrial AI becomes a standard component of modern production.
