Intuitive, a US-listed company specializing in minimally invasive care and robotic-assisted surgery (RAS), has officially announced plans to establish a significant manufacturing presence in Malaysia. The company has entered into a lease agreement with the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) to develop a new facility located in the Bandar Cassia Technology Park, Penang.

According to the original publisher, the upcoming manufacturing plant will span a total area of 316,000 square feet. This expansion marks a strategic move for the corporation as it seeks to scale its production capabilities for its advanced surgical systems. Construction and infrastructure preparations are currently underway to support the facility's complex operational requirements.

The project is currently slated to commence operations by 2028.
