ViTrox Becomes Malaysia’s Most Valuable Tech Firm Amid AI Surge
Semiconductor equipment manufacturer ViTrox Corp reached a record market valuation following a tripling of its quarterly net profit.

ViTrox Corp Bhd reached an all-time high share price of RM9.20 today, cementing its position as the most valuable technology company on Bursa Malaysia. The surge follows a strong second-quarter financial report that saw the company’s net profit more than triple, driven by the expanding global demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure.
According to the original publisher, ViTrox shares rose as much as 15% during the morning trading session before closing at RM8.70, an 8.8% increase for the day. Year-to-date, the company’s stock has climbed 114%, pushing its total market capitalisation to RM16.48 billion. This growth trajectory mirrors the accelerated adoption of advanced computing technologies globally.
For the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, the company reported a net profit of RM85 million, a 202.5% increase from RM28.1 million in the same period last year. Quarterly revenue also saw a significant rise, more than doubling to RM374.9 million compared to RM183 million previously. For the first half of the year, net profit reached RM136.24 million, marking a 160% jump from the RM52.3 million recorded a year earlier.
The company attributed its stellar performance to several key factors, including heightened demand for AI-related technologies and growth in the automotive and consumer electronics sectors. Additionally, improved operational efficiency and specific tax benefits provided to a subsidiary contributed to the bottom-line expansion. Global supply chain restructuring was also cited as a supportive factor for the firm’s recent gains.
This performance highlights the increasing role of Malaysian semiconductor players within the global AI supply chain. As the demand for sophisticated hardware grows, local tech leaders are benefiting from the transition toward AI infrastructure, positioning Malaysia as an essential node in international high-tech manufacturing and distribution networks.
