The Voyah Dream 9, Dongfeng’s latest flagship luxury MPV, is officially scheduled to debut in Malaysia during the first quarter of 2027. Volt Auto Malaysia, the local distributor for the brand, confirmed that the vehicle will be offered in both battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) configurations, mirroring the options available in China.

According to the original publisher, the market introduction will begin with fully imported (CBU) units. However, the company has already laid out plans to transition the flagship MPV to locally assembled (CKD) status, a move that aligns with typical strategies for major Chinese automotive players looking to establish a long-term footprint in Southeast Asia. To support this, Voyah will establish a dedicated dealer network, distinct from the main Dongfeng brand, to better position itself as a premium offering in the local market.

The Dream 9 represents an evolution of the previous Voyah Dream seen at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show. While it retains the 3,200 mm wheelbase of its predecessor, the new model is slightly larger, measuring 5,325 mm in length and 1,998 mm in width. The exterior features a prominent "Dragon Scale" chrome grille, which includes a retractable ornament, complemented by advanced Huawei Xpixel smart projection headlights to enhance its luxury aesthetic.
