BMW’s first Neue Klasse electric vehicle arrives in Malaysia as the high-performance M Sport Pro variant.

The BMW iX3 50 xDrive has officially launched in Malaysia, serving as the first vehicle from the brand's Neue Klasse electric vehicle era to reach the local market. Offered exclusively in the M Sport Pro trim for the 2026 model year, the new SUV arrives with a starting price of RM378,800. For customers who opt for the inclusion of the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive package, the total price is adjusted to RM399,800.
According to the original publisher, the M Sport Pro package introduces several distinct aesthetic and functional enhancements to the vehicle. Exterior highlights include 22-inch Y-Spoke style 1054M bicolour light alloy wheels, M Sport brakes featuring red high-gloss callipers, and M Sport-specific painted bumpers and side sills. The vehicle also sports an illuminated kidney grille with a dark finish, branded as BMW Iconic Glow, and is equipped with Hankook Ion Evo SUV tyres.
Inside the cabin, the iX3 50 xDrive reflects its performance-oriented branding with an M Black interior design. Standard interior features include M Sport seats for both the driver and front passenger, an M 2-spoke steering wheel, and M seatbelts. For driver safety and convenience, the Malaysia-specification model comes equipped with the Driving Assistant Plus system and the Parking Assistant Professional suite as standard equipment.
To support the launch, BMW Malaysia is offering a promotional three-month payment holiday before the commencement of the first installment for new owners. The vehicle is currently available for purchase through authorized channels, marking a significant step in the expansion of BMW’s electrified lineup within the country.
The introduction of the Neue Klasse platform signifies a major shift in BMW’s electrification strategy, bringing next-generation architecture to the Malaysian automotive market. For local EV buyers, this arrival provides a new premium option that integrates advanced driver-assistance technology with the distinct design language associated with the brand’s M Sport performance division.
