Google has introduced a minor update to its Gemini platform that enables users to hide visible watermarks on AI-generated images. This change ensures that the generated content no longer displays a clear watermark to the naked eye.

Despite the removal of the visual mark, Google clarified that security and identification standards remain in place. The system continues to include SynthID watermarking and C2PA metadata within the files. These identifiers are embedded into the image data but are designed to be undetectable by human vision.
