IOI Properties Receives Regulatory Green Light for Major REIT Listing
The Securities Commission Malaysia has officially approved IOI Properties Group Berhad to list its new real estate investment trust on the Main Market.

IOI Properties Group Berhad has received formal approval from the Securities Commission Malaysia to proceed with the establishment and listing of the IOIPG REIT on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. The regulatory endorsement was confirmed in a letter dated August 6, 2026.
Under the terms stipulated in the proposals, the new real estate investment trust will be structured with an initial fund size of 5.5 billion units. According to the original publisher, this development marks a significant milestone for the property group as it moves forward with its strategic plans to unlock value from its diverse portfolio.
The landmark listing, valued at RM7.58 billion, represents a major expansion in the group's financial architecture. By transitioning these assets into a Real Estate Investment Trust, the company creates a dedicated vehicle for managing its commercial and hospitality holdings while providing a new investment instrument for the market.
For Malaysian investors and the broader capital market, this approval signals a notable injection of large-scale assets into the REIT sector. The listing is set to enhance the liquidity and depth of the local exchange, offering market participants increased exposure to a substantial portfolio of established properties. As the company prepares for the listing process, the financial community remains focused on the integration of these units into the broader investment landscape.
