Kia Expands East Malaysia Presence With New Kuching 3S Centre
Operated by Heng Lian, the new Jalan Abell facility supports Kia’s growing network with EV-ready sales and service capabilities.

Kia has officially expanded its footprint in East Malaysia with the opening of a new 3S centre in Kuching. Located on Jalan Abell, the facility is operated by Heng Lian Enterprise, an established player in the local automotive market with over four decades of experience.
According to the original publisher, the 4,796 sq. ft. facility is fully EV-ready. The showroom is designed to house three display vehicles, while the service centre features two work bays. The workshop is equipped with Kia’s latest diagnostic tools and has the capacity to handle up to 260 vehicles per month. For customer convenience, the centre includes a lounge equipped with free WiFi, as well as complimentary snacks and drinks.
Heng Lian Enterprise invested RM 1.5 million into the new facility. Managing director Kevin Law stated that this investment reflects the company's commitment to supporting Kia’s growth in the region and maintaining high standards for both sales and aftersales services. Kia Sales Malaysia president and CEO Hyung Ho Kim added that the dealership is a significant step in strengthening the brand's presence and improving accessibility for East Malaysian customers.
The showroom is open daily from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, though the service centre remains closed on Sundays. With this new addition, Kia now operates a total of 26 dealerships across Malaysia.
This opening marks an important development for the Malaysian automotive landscape as manufacturers continue to build infrastructure to support the transition to electric vehicles. By integrating EV-ready capabilities into its regional 3S network, Kia is positioning itself to better serve a growing customer base in Sarawak, ensuring that owners of its latest models, including the EV9, have access to necessary technical support and maintenance closer to home.
