MN Holdings Secures RM71 Million TNB Contract for Cameron Highlands Infrastructure
The engineering firm has been tasked with building a new 132/33 kV transmission main intake in Blue Valley.

MN Holdings Bhd has officially secured a contract valued at RM71.02 million from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) to develop a new 132/33 kilovolt (kV) transmission main intake (PMU). The facility will be located in Blue Valley, Cameron Highlands, Pahang.
According to the original publisher, the group’s wholly-owned subsidiary received the formal contract award from the national utility provider on August 12, 2026. The project encompasses the full establishment of the new transmission main intake, which is intended to bolster the electricity infrastructure in the highland region.
The contract is part of the ongoing efforts to manage and upgrade power distribution capabilities across Malaysia. By commissioning this new 132/33 kV PMU, TNB aims to enhance the reliability and capacity of the electrical grid serving the Cameron Highlands area.
This project represents a significant infrastructure undertaking for MN Holdings Bhd as it continues to support TNB in large-scale utility developments. The deployment of high-voltage transmission facilities remains a critical component of Malaysia’s broader energy strategy to ensure consistent power supply for rural and developing regions.
For the Malaysian market, the development underscores the sustained capital expenditure by utility giants like TNB to accommodate rising demand and ensure grid stability. Such infrastructure projects are vital for supporting local economic activity and maintaining the functional integrity of regional power networks across the nation.
