According to the original publisher, the feature is currently limited to Mac systems. Computer History allows ChatGPT and Codex to analyze patterns in how a user operates their computer. By identifying these recurring workflows, the AI can assist in turning them into specific skills or automated processes.
OpenAI has clarified that the feature does not capture screenshots, screen recordings, microphone input, or system audio. The company emphasizes that the tool is disabled by default, ensuring that users must actively opt-in to use it. Additionally, the functionality appears to be restricted to paid tiers rather than the free version of the service.
