The China Hainan Junior International Golf Tournament โ Malaysia Leg 2026 has officially commenced at the Resorts World Awana Golf Course. Running from 13 to 15 August 2026, the event brings together approximately 120 young participants from Malaysia, China, and other nations to compete for regional prestige and professional advancement.
According to the original publisher, the tournament features competition across four age categories for boys and girls aged six to 18. The event is hosted through a collaboration between the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, the Hainan Golf Association, and SportExcel Malaysia. It is organized by Eagle & Birdies Golf Junket Sdn. Bhd.
The competition holds significant weight for older participants, as it is sanctioned by both the Malaysia Golf Association and the China Golf Association. The tournament serves as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) counting event for Category A, covering ages 16 to 18, and Category B, covering ages 13 to 15. Success in these rounds offers players the opportunity to earn international ranking points and secure a place in the upcoming Hainan Junior Golf Tour Finals.
