RHB Bank Introduces Malaysia’s First Proprietary Unified Payment Gateway
The new platform, RHB Pay, enables businesses to consolidate various digital payment methods into one integrated system.

RHB Bank has officially launched RHB Pay, a unified online payment gateway designed specifically for business and enterprise clients in Malaysia. Positioned as the country’s first bank-owned payment solution of its kind, the platform facilitates the acceptance of multiple digital payment methods through a single integration point, with all funds settled directly into the merchant's RHB bank account.
According to the original publisher, the platform is built, owned, and operated entirely by the bank rather than relying on third-party payment gateway providers. This architecture is intended to provide businesses with bank-grade security protocols, automated reconciliation processes, improved visibility over cash flow, and more efficient access to funds.
Currently, the service supports card payments, FPX, and DuitNow. By consolidating these disparate payment channels, RHB Pay aims to remove the operational complexity for businesses that would otherwise need to manage separate integrations for each method. The system is being marketed primarily toward mid-sized enterprises looking to streamline their digital transaction workflows.
The launch of RHB Pay represents a significant shift in the local financial landscape as traditional banks move to control the end-to-end payment infrastructure. For Malaysian businesses, this move signifies a potential reduction in technical overhead and security risks by bypassing third-party intermediaries. By integrating these services directly into the bank's core ecosystem, the initiative highlights the growing importance of seamless, secure digital infrastructure in supporting the nation’s digital economy and business sector.
