Vibe Mobile Enters Malaysian Market with U Mobile-Powered 5G Plans

The new MVNO offers prepaid connectivity starting from RM17 monthly by leveraging U Mobile’s extensive network infrastructure.

Vibe Mobile has officially launched its telecommunications services in Malaysia, introducing a new series of prepaid mobile plans starting at RM17 per month. Operating as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator, the company provides these services through a wholesale access agreement with U Mobile. This partnership allows Vibe Mobile customers to connect via U Mobile’s ULTRA5G network, which currently reports over 85 percent population coverage.

According to the original publisher, Vibe Mobile intends to differentiate its service by integrating connectivity with a broader ecosystem of lifestyle privileges and digital features. The company states that its offerings are designed to cater to modern, digitally connected consumers by providing value beyond basic data and voice call capabilities.

A core component of this strategy is the introduction of Vibe Mobile Points. This loyalty programme is designed to reward customers for their subscriptions and platform engagement. The MVNO is currently working to expand this system to include travel-related rewards and exclusive experiences, aiming to provide additional benefits as the ecosystem matures.

At the time of the announcement, the operator is focusing exclusively on prepaid services. While the platform is in its early stages of development, the company has indicated plans to grow its digital offerings over time.

For Malaysian consumers, the entry of Vibe Mobile adds another option to the local prepaid market, particularly for those seeking access to 5G connectivity. By utilizing an established network provider, the MVNO positions itself to compete by bundling standard mobile plans with a rewards-based structure. This development highlights the ongoing expansion of the local MVNO landscape as providers continue to leverage the country’s increasing 5G infrastructure to reach digital-first users.
