Xiaomi has officially scheduled the Malaysian launch of its Redmi Note 17 Series for 18 August 2026. This release introduces a strategic expansion of the company’s best-selling mid-range family, highlighted by the debut of a new Pro Max variant that sits above the standard and Pro models.

According to the original publisher, the Pro Max variant is engineered as the series' top-tier offering, featuring reinforced build quality and upgraded performance capabilities. The standout hardware specification for this premium model is a massive 10,000mAh battery, which utilizes silicon-carbon cell technology. This battery is rated to maintain over 80% capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles.

The series is built with a focus on long-term hardware longevity, with Xiaomi claiming the devices are designed to support up to six years of performance. This commitment covers ongoing security updates, consistent smooth performance, and high durability standards. The devices have received TÜV SÜD certification across three distinct categories, including drop resistance for falls of up to three metres.
