Xiaomi Malaysia has officially introduced its latest budget-friendly smartphone lineup, the Redmi 17 series. Available in both 4G and 5G variants, the devices are positioned as affordable options for users seeking long-lasting power, headlined by a significant 7,500mAh battery housed within both models.

According to the original publisher, the smartphones feature a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an HD 720p resolution. Photography needs are addressed by a 50MP main camera sensor included on both the base and 5G models. While the aesthetics remain consistent across the series, the core hardware differs: the Redmi 17 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, whereas the 4G-only version utilizes the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra chip.

Pricing for the Redmi 17 series begins at RM699 for the 4G model, with a promotional price of RM669. The Redmi 17 5G starts at RM799 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, discounted to RM769 during the launch period.
