However, after installing the patch, the battery level plummeted from 85% at midnight to 5% by the following afternoon, despite only two hours of screen-on time. The user reported that the handset continued to lose between 5% and 7% of its battery life every hour even while completely idle.

Another affected user corroborated these findings, reporting that their device’s battery dropped from 85% to 25% within just two to three hours of use.
